Dear A,
Grammatical errors aside, labels and misinformation are merely the beginning. If we strip away the liberal versus conservative, D versus R and so on, what bubbles to the surface is truth. At the risk of sounding trite, there is only one truth and that is love.

This truth, albeit uncomfortable for some, denied by many and twisted by most, is irrefutable- from either side. It is true for everyone and all sides have plenty of humble pie when it is denied manipulated or ignored. In the end that which remains is still the truth.

Most agendas begin with the best of intentions, but in the end they serve the self interest(s) of the authors with little regard to truth. It is the classic power paradigm which has self service at its core.

Social justice, the sanctity of life, environmental stewardship and fiscal responsibility all involve self discipline and sacrifice which are in direct opposition to the power paradigm.

Until we are able to come together and accept Truth(cap intended), despair, uncertainty, anger and social disfunction will be the norm. I believe at some point everyone will get tired of being angry, despondent and lazy... and understand what love means. This is not trite, it is Truth. God Bless.

You are a courageous man filled with the Holy Spirit. It is refreshing to hear someone speak honestly regarding the state of our "union". As a fellow American, I share your frustration(s) with the current state of governance in our nation, states and cities. These problems are not limited to the community that you speak of, it is throughout our populous. Men (et al) have seemingly abdicated their role as leaders and the entire nation is paying the price. Pride is largely at the root of this. Arrogance follows close behind with apathy and empty anger as the end results. Please keep up the inspirational work, everyone can benefit from your words. Oh, using Jesus Christ as a credit card is OK ... if you pay Him back at least once a week, it's the best return out there!
